In March, there were twenty-seven community members who stepped up to fill a vacant position on our Board of Education. During interviews with nine of the applicants, they cited support for the mission, vision and guiding principles of our district and gratitude to the teachers, staff and administrators who hold these dear in the work they do every day. Applicants brought a collaborative spirit to the conversation and a profound interest to respect the diverse perspectives of our community. Every single community member articulated with clarity the oversight role of a board member and their desire to maintain open communication with all. I am beyond thrilled to welcome Christopher “CJ” Michaud to the team. One board member stated, “I just want to be in the room with him!”. I could not agree more. His enthusiasm is contagious. CJ’s deep gratitude for his own experience as a Forest Hills graduate and father of four young children, understanding of the rich history and traditions of our district and willingness to serve and learn alongside fellow board members brings a sense of energy as we chart a course for the future of Forest Hills Public Schools. Please review his biography and join me and the entire school board in welcoming him to the board.
