Michigan Summer EBT is a new program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Children who get Michigan Summer EBT can still participate in other summer meal programs. Receiving Michigan Summer EBT will not affect children or families’ immigration status.
Additionally, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Summer EBT application is now available. Families who have not yet applied for free and reduced lunch with their school are encouraged to fill out the application and return to MDHHS by August 31, 2024. Note: The application referred to here is not the same application on the Meal Magic Family Portal. Please use the link provided to access the correct application.
