We are so excited to launch our district-wide initiative of Positive Behavior Intervention System! PBIS is a proactive and evidence-based approach to creating safe, welcoming, positive learning environments for all students. PBIS helps schools build a culture where students are taught, supported, and recognized for their positive behavior. With the help and feedback of over 4,000 staff, students, and families, Forest Hills Public Schools selected the word “PRIDE” to help students understand our district-wide behavior expectations. PRIDE stands for: Persistent, Respectful, Inclusive, Dependable, EVERY DAY! Families will hear more on how schools will be implementing this system and will learn more from students and staff throughout the coming year.
